The four-day 2026 Suzhou Craft Beer Festival, themed “Lager Summer in Suzhou”, opened at the Zhaojiaxiang Neighborhood Center, SIP on Aug 13, bringing together more than 50 renowned craft beer brands from home and abroad, over 400 distinctive brews, and more than 20 food vendors.

Lager beer, the world’s most popular beer style known for its refreshing, crisp taste, is the centerpiece of the event.

Among over 20 domestic craft beer brands, 15 made their appearance in Suzhou for the first time. In addition to beer, trendy drinks such as kombucha, specialty rice wine, and creative cocktails, have been introduced to cater to diverse tastes.

Diverse food offerings offered at 20 stalls, ranging from northeastern Chinese barbecue and Chaoshan-style braised delicacies to American-style fare, attracted many people.

The festival also features a wide range of fun and interactive activities including the daily stage performances at 4:00 PM, the football match viewing on Aug 15, parades of NPCs (non-player characters), a peanut-shelling competition, remote-control car races, professional brewers and brand founders’ talks, alongside quizzes about craft beer.

It is also worth noting that selected craft beer stalls and specialty beer vans will remain on site even after the festival to participate in the food festival that will take place at four neighborhood centers in SIP from Aug 21 to 30.
