Suzhou Arts Cineplex is offering a film feast with three parallel programs, enriching cultural experiences for residents in SIP.

The 5th Origin Western Film Festival is scheduled to run at Suzhou Arts Cineplex from Sept 4 to 20, with two screenings each day. Suzhou Arts Cineplex is one of 12 cinemas in six cities to host the festival.

In late May, the Nationwide Alliance of Art-house Cinemas initiated an exhibition themed “Timeless Love”, bringing a list of classic Chinese and foreign romance movies to audiences in 27 cities nationwide simultaneously. Suzhou Arts Cineplex is the only participating cinema in Suzhou.

From Sept 5 to 27, the last of three rounds of screenings at the cinema will offer 10 well-selected movies exploring love, life, and freedom from both Eastern and Western perspectives.

Additionally, a free film program runs at the Dongshahu branch of Suzhou Arts Cineplex from Sept 1 to 29, with nine films shown at 12:30 PM every Tuesday and Thursday.

At the same time, top-grossing movies such as “Once Upon a Time in the Middle East?” and “?Spider-Man: Brand New Day” have attracted a continuous stream of audiences to the cinema.
