Weidmüller, a global leader in industrial connectivity, received the construction permit on July 31 for building a manufacturing and R&D facility in SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone.

Weidmüller entered the Chinese market in 1994. It now operates two major R&D centers in Shanghai and Suzhou, and connects with over 100 distribution partners through 17 sales offices across the country.

The new project, located in the APP Science & Technology Park, will cover approximately 60 mu (4 hectares), with the planned floor area reaching over 50,000 square meters. With a total investment of around RMB500 million, it is positioned as the company’s R&D and manufacturing headquarters in China, integrating intelligent manufacturing, advanced R&D, smart logistics, engineering application, training, and customer experiences.

It is worth mentioning that the company received the construction permit only six workdays after signing the land use right transfer contract, thanks to the local authorities’ considerate, efficient services.
