The 2026 Suzhou Open, a WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) 125 event, is going to take place at Sungent International Tennis Center in SIP from Oct 5 to 11, according to the news conference held in Beijing on Aug 18.

Nearly 80 female professional players from around the world will compete in the singles and doubles matches.

Compared with the 2025 edition, which was held at the same venue last year, this year’s edition will boast a significant upgrade. The venue has installed broadcast-standard lighting and integrated aesthetic elements from classical Chinese gardens into its court design.

Adjacent hotels will offer customized meals and bilingual services tailored for international athletes, while SIP authorities will coordinate safety, transport, and emergency support efforts to ensure the event goes on in a smooth, orderly manner.

A digital management system will be employed to provide multilingual services across the venue.

Under collaboration with the renowned brand ODEA, the event will feature a purple-themed visual identity, and exclusive merchandise inspired by BIBO, an AI-powered art toy developed by Hangzhou Leim Technology.

The event will be paired with a variety of cultural and tourist experiences such as crab tasting, visits to classical gardens, traditional opera performances, and outdoor markets.
