Lu Yuan, deputy secretary of the CPC SIP Working Committee and director of SIP Administrative Committee, met with Alistair Simpson, Group Vice President Cochlear Implants at Sonova, and his contingent on Sept 1.

Sonova, headquartered in St?fa, Switzerland, is a global leader in innovative hearing care solutions. The group’s branch in SIP, started out in 2003, has grown into an important manufacturing and maintenance base for its global operations, and also its flagship production center in the Asia-Pacific region.

During the meeting, Lu extended welcome to the guests, and gave them a brief introduction to SIP, highlighting its focus on biomedical and healthcare industries. He encouraged Sonova to expand its operations in SIP and accelerate localization and integration into local industrial, supply and talent chains. He promised that SIP will continuously improve business environment to realize higher-level win-win cooperation with investors.

Alistair Simpson thanked SIP for its support to Sonova’s projects. He spoke highly of SIP’s industrial ecosystem and innovation atmosphere, and expressed Sonova’s willingness to expand investment in the area.

It is learned that Sonova is planning additional investment in SIP to promote local production and maintenance of artificial cochleas.
