SIP Customs held a press conference on Aug 14, announcing statistics on SIP’s imports and exports from January to July and giving an introduction to its measures for business environment improvement and trade facilitation.

According to statistics released at the event, SIP’s foreign trade in goods surpassed RMB1 trillion for the first time during the first seven months of this year, reaching RMB1.02 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 126.8%—already exceeding last year’s full-year total.

So far this year, SIP’s foreign trade has demonstrated remarkable resilience and strong momentum. In July, its total imports and exports reached RMB198.39 billion, an increase of 178.6%, marking not only a doubling for four consecutive months, but also a YoY growth for 33 consecutive months since November 2023.

From January to July, the park saw sharp surges in imports and exports of high-tech products, environmental products, hardware products for AI applications, and medical products. A total of 5,221 enterprises, including 3,746 private enterprises, demonstrated high performance in imports and exports. SIP’s global trade network further expanded, and its role as a production and supply hub was continuously highlighted.

The achievements stem from SIP’s strong support for foreign trade. SIP customs have implemented a series of tailored measures to ease and accelerate customs clearance, and frequently organized events to help enterprises better understand policies and resolve challenges in business operations.
