Recently, Zhang Jianwei, director of the Assembly Division of SEW-Motors (Suzhou) Co Ltd in SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone, received a thank-you banner for helping an injured woman on his way to work.

One morning last October, Zhang was cycling to work along East Shenhu Road when he saw a woman lying by the roadside, her leg bleeding heavily. Without hesitation, he stopped and rushed to her side. After a quick check, Zhang called 120 for an ambulance and 110 for the police, clearly reporting the location and her condition. He then borrowed a silk scarf from a passerby and tied it around the wound to stop the bleeding. Throughout the rescue, he kept talking to her gently, keeping her awake and calm.

Zhang stayed with the woman until the ambulance arrived. Only after she was taken away did he quietly leave for work.
