SIP is deemed by foreign investors as a trustable partner. Several recent investment expansion cases illustrate why.

Early this month, Johnson & Johnson MedTech announced the completion of its first local production line for cardiac electrophysiology products and the capacity expansion and upgrade of its surgical device manufacturing facility in SIP. The company attributes its confidence in SIP to its well-developed biomedical cluster and world-class innovation ecosystem.

Interroll, a global leading provider of material-handling solutions, set up its first production base in the park in 2002. Over two decades, this facility has been upgraded five times until it reopened as the company’s Asia-Pacific innovation hub in June, with a total floor area of 2,500 square meters for R&D, testing and engineering validation. Also in June, Scanfil, Europe’s largest listed provider of electronics manufacturing services, broke ground on a new project in SIP, aiming to expand its Suzhou plant by about 20,000 square meters. The new workshops are expected to come into production in May 2027. Scanfil speaks highly of SIP’s industrial ecosystem and policy support.

Statistics show that, by the end of 2025, SIP had attracted over 5,200 foreign-invested projects, with actual use of foreign investment exceeding US$44 billion.
