This month, good news keeps pouring in from construction sites across SIP.

On Sept 3, the main structure of the S7 foundation pit at Suzhou East Railway Station on the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway was fully capped with the precise pouring of the final batch of high-strength concrete.

On the same day, the first-phase cofferdam of the Yangcheng Lake Xingji Tunnel (SIP section) was successfully finished. The tunnel spans 6.821 kilometers in total, with the section in SIP measuring 1.13 kilometers. The first-phase cofferdam is 1,056 meters long and 150 meters wide, impounding approximately 280,000 cubic meters of water—equivalent to a “swimming pool” the size of 11 standard football fields.

On Sept 9, the headquarters building of Suzhou Chilye Green Technology Co Ltd, a leading supplier of high voltage electrical appliances and power distribution units for new energy vehicles, passed the final acceptance review. With a total investment of RMB550 million, the project features multiple functions for business operation, R&D, production and other operations.

The same day, Shine Opto (Suzhou) Co Ltd launched construction on a new plant in the Suzhou Industrial Park-Xiangcheng District Cooperative Economic Development Zone. The facility will mainly produce and assemble solar streetlights, inverters, and other new energy equipment, aiming to become a benchmark factory for green, low-carbon, and intelligent manufacturing.
