The 7th China (Suzhou) International Pastel Biennale opened in SIP in the Ming Gallery of Art at SIP’s Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block on Sept 12, showcasing 73 pastels by over 50 well-known Chinese and foreign artists.

The exhibits feature diverse themes and styles, highlighting both the delicate texture of traditional pastel painting and innovative expressions of contemporary art. Together, they fully demonstrate the inclusiveness and continuous progress of pastel art.

The exhibition, scheduled to last till Oct 11 (except Mondays), is free to the public. A variety of activities will be held concurrently, including the seminar of pastel artists on the opening day, on-site art creation activities, artists’ lectures, and public art education campaigns.
